While we're in the midst of developing our American-made line of electric guitars, one of the first items to come out of this project is our hand-wound, homegrown humbucker pickups!

Introducing the Zaar Guitars Route 66 electric pickup!

Route 66 is a road traveled by many different walks of life for the beauty, tranquility, and golden history of the USA. That symbol of classic, American freedom is a parallel we wanted to inspire our first-ever electric pickup.

While vintage-minded in design, no matter what style of music you're playing, this pickup is more than capable. These hand-wound pickups were designed and spec'd by a highly skilled and classically trained guitar builder/tech and musician - who plays in many different genres - and wanted a go-to pickup that can do anything!

It shines in the sparkly cleans, gets raspy with classic amp gain, and won't hesitate to get devastatingly heavy tones suitable in the modern metal world with your amp gain cranked, despite the low DC resistance parameters in the design.

The coils are wound slightly offset for a unique sound that is capable of an almost single coil sound when EQ'd and amplified properly, or fat and heavy under high gain amplification.

The aesthetics are inspired by the vintage PAF of yesterday and feature semi-worn bobbins to complete the look.

This is a limited first run edition of the pickup, and will be hand-numbered and signed by the Zaar tech on the backplate.
