Love this guitar

The Zaar Z420 Santos Redwood, is equal to my best guitar ever. The Walnut Zaar. They just play so well, such rich sound, so easy to do complicated things (I play classical guitar on them) I can't say enough good. And the price is just ubelievable, for this quality.

Thank you Zaar

I received my Zaar Z420 in early December, 2023, and have had a few months to break this beauty in. Some background first. I played electric guitar in bands from 1970 til 2001 and let playing go until recent times. As far as acoustic playing, back in the early 70's, I had a decent finger picking style but really hadn't played acoustic since then. With my purchase of the Z420, I have to say, it is the guitar that has made playing great again. It's almost like starting over, but I'm making slow progress, and this guitar is a 10 for me. The feel, sound, action, tuning, appearance....it's all there! I can't say enough good things about the instrument and I thank Zaar for their efforts in making such a fine, acoustic at an affordable cost. I was hesitant buying sight unseen and un-played but hit the jackpot and hope the experience will be as good for other guitar enthusiasts. I am a happy customer and give the Zaar Z420 my highest recommendation!!!! pjm

I loved the Santos Rosewood

I can't begin to say how much I loved the Santos Rosewood. It is the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen. And the workmanship is second to none. In my case however, the neck wasn't exactly right for me, radius wise. Craig was willing to work with me in whatever I wanted to do. However there were not any guitars in stock that would have a smaller radius. Having said all this, I'm 77 years old and have been playing for 63 years. *And my hands are pretty arthritic. What a great company and selection of guitars! Dan

Satisfied!

The guitar is beautiful, the wood work looks awesome and the inlays are perfect. The guitar has some great sustain and the tone is better than other guitars in this price range. Out of the box, I did not find that this guitar sounds like or plays like an expensive Taylor, but it does play well and sounds like a guitar that would cost twice as much.

Wasn't sure.

I was a little hesitant on purchasing this guitar since I have a nice Breedlove acoustic already that is 10 years old . That guitar plays great but the tone doesn't ring out.
I also like to open tune for certain songs and it would be nice to keep it that way. So I took a chance on the Zaar, which normally I would never buy without playing first. Zaar had a blemish 720e marked down so I went for it. To my pleasant surprise it arrived boxed up well and also was in its own case , which I wasn't expecting!
The wood is absolutely beautiful and at first wasn't crazy about the high gloss finish but it does do this particular model justice. The inlays and joinery are so perfect I couldn't find a gap or high spot any where. I was a custom cabinet maker for 40 years and I know what to look for. On top of it I can not find any blemish, not complaining, maybe it's in the case. The tone is exactly what I was hoping for, a little more treble than the Beedlove and with better strings expect it to improve.
At first the neck felt slightly off compared to what I'm use to. After measuring it is the same width but a little thicker. Now I have been playing it for a few weeks I don't really notice it much. I will probably shave a 1/6" off the bridge when I replace strings to get the action were I like.
Most players will love the way it comes set up and plays, it really isn't that bad at all. The craftsmanship and playability of this instrament is hard to deny, especially at this price point. I can't imagine this price will last in the future because demand is going to swell.
A free gift was included which also was a nice touch.
Could of used the strap instead of a cappo though....hint
